Attacus atlas known as Atlas moth, is the largest moth species in the World. It haa a massive wingspan, which is wider than hıman hand. Itis native to tropical and forest habitats in Asia. Its reddish-brown wings draws attention with triangular patterns outlined in black. The marking on the upper corner of their wings that eerily resembles a cobra head is the most remarkable feature of atlas moths. Unfortunatelly, this beautiful moth lacks the ability to eat.

Also, It has an incredibly short lifespan. Atlas moths are seen mainly by birds and lizards, the principal predators of the moths and cobras in the same region. As a caterpillar, the atlas moth is also quite impressive. In addition, species related to the Atlas moth have snake heads that are similar but less distinct, demonstrating a pattern that may have been honed by natural selection.  They are massive creatures. The Atlas moth’s wings include patterns and translucent regions that could serve as “eyespots.”  One of the largest moth species in the world, the atlas moth (Attacus atlas) is found throughout Asia and is widespread in China, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Laos, Malaysia, Nepal, and Taiwan. With a wingspan of up to 12 inches and a total surface area of as much as 62 square inches, it is second only to the white witch moth in wingspan and the Hercules moth in total wing surface area.
